30 Day World of Warcraft Challenge

In 2018 there were some amazing World of Warcraft Inktober challenges by Frenone and Tara CS which really inspired me. The problem was that I was really not at the stage with my art (and I’m still not) to take on an art challenge of that magnitude. There’s also been several video game character blog challenges going around. All of these have led to the creation of this challenge.

I’ve purposely not labelled a blog challenge because I want you guys to be able to interpret it your way. If you want to answer the prompts as blog posts then awesome, if you want to use photos, art, creative writing or use it as a quick once a day post on social media – all those methods are equally awesome! There’s no wrong way to do this challenge. It’s about embracing your love for the game.

There’s been a lot of changes over at Blizzard Entertainment in the last year; we all know that. I’m not going to say don’t be negative because this isn’t about censorship. What I will say is that this challenge was created in the spirit of community, connection and joy. I hope you’ll embrace that idea with me and I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

The Rules

The challenge rules are:

  1. Link back to the original post or tag the creator, Heather of Just Geeking By. I’m @justgeekingby on twitter, instagram and facebook.
  2. Repost the full prompt list; graphic version is available below for social media.
  3. Answer the tag in whichever format, and style you wish. Go for it!
  4. Please refrain from using other artists work without permission. If you need screenshots then check out my Screenshot Gallery.

The Prompts

Here are the prompts! I ended up making two versions because there wasn’t room to fit both races and classes into one challenge. I still ended up sacrificing on the races a bit (sorry Allied Races!) so there will possibly be a version 3 in the future if people like these ones. You’re welcome to mix and match prompts 8 – 22 so you’ve got a race and class combination, but it was important for me that people had that option. Also, these prompts (8-22) are designed to be about NPCs rather than your own characters.

There are no corresponding adjectives to allow you to interpret the prompts however you wish. You could for example choose to talk to interpret a prompt as you favourites, your dislikes, the most interesting or influential. It’s completely up to you 😉
