Hello everyone and welcome to day 6 of my 30 Day World of Warcraft Challenge that is counting down the days to the release of Shadowlands! Every day in November I will be posting about World of Warcraft based on the prompt list below. Today’s prompt is ‘creature’ and I’m talking all about the three World of Warcraft creatures I fell in love with!
I’d love for you to join me in my countdown to Shadowlands and you can do so in any way you wish. I wanted this challenge to be open to all players whether they be raiders, casual, new to the game or veterans. It’s also completely open to interpretation as to how you respond to the challenge; write it, draw it, vlog it, post it on social media, whatever works for you.
Day 6 – Creature
The problem with today’s prompt isn’t that I can’t find something to talk about, it’s that I can find waay too many to talk about. It’s also exactly the reason why I put in a limit of three for each day otherwise I’d be here all day talking about World of Warcraft creatures. Narrowing it down to three was difficult, and then I realised that some of the ones I was considering were probably better under pets or mounts (days 25 and 26). Eventually, I got there and I’m sure over the next few days I’ll suddenly remember another couple I should have included instead. For now though, here’s three World of Warcraft creatures that I fell in love with.
A soon as I saw the quirky looking owlcats overrunning Irongrove Retreat in Suramar I was head over heels in love with them. They were adorable little mischief-makers with stunning features and piercing eyes. It was even better when the hidden feral druid artifact skin was revealed to be an owlcat! Now that druids can choose a specific appearance for their druid forms it means I can enjoy that hidden appearance even though I don’t play feral spec 🙂
Sprite darters and their bigger cousins the enchanted faerie dragons are like living rainbows, what’s not to love about them? They’re like a splash of happiness flying about the sky and they look completely adorable. They make me smile whenever I see them and in Warlords of Draenor, I spent way too much time watching the enchanted faerie dragons in Embaari Village in Shadowmoon Valley during Warlords of Draenor 😀
I was slightly less in love with these guys by the time I’d finished getting a screenshot for this post, I can tell you that! They have a large aggro range even for a max ranged character and I had to go on my rogue to play stealth photographer. I probably looked really funny walking up in front of their noses and running about them!
It was nice to get up close to these majestic creatures without having to kill them though. Their scales get that wonderful hue from a mana-sensitive particle covering them and it even allows some to change colour (item and item). Panthara can be deep azure to vivid green and magenta. They can be found lounging about Argus, but don’t think them lazy; they’re ferocious hunters and protective parents of the young kittens they watch play.
Over to You
How about you; what World of Warcraft creature did you fall in love with?
Next up tomorrow is ‘event’ and I’m going to be talking about the World of Warcraft events that I always enjoy. So join me tomorrow to find out what they are!
What will day 30 be?!
Day 30 is a freebie and my choice of topic, however, I can’t decide! I need your help narrowing down my options so I’m putting my four options up for a vote in polls over on Twitter. The first two options are up this week, the other two will be up next week and the winners of both will go head to head in one final showdown in week 3.
Get involved and head over to the poll below to cast your vote now!
