While I will be posting some personal things about myself, I won’t be posting all my personal details. I won’t be posting my specific location details, for example, or explicit details about people in my life. People will get mentioned because it’s impossible not to mention people in your life unless you’re a hermit. So if you do know me IRL and are waiting for me to gossip, sorry that isn’t me or what this blog is about.

As a disabled queer woman who is openly and unapologetically discussing my life in my own space, I, unfortunately, do gain the attention of some people who want to rain on my parade. I offer a zero-tolerance policy for spammers, trolls, and generally, anyone who is rude, judgemental or hateful. There is no place on this blog for any of those. That isn’t to say that constructive discussion and debates aren’t allowed; you’re welcome to disagree with me, however, do not try to force myself or my readers to agree with you.

As Just Geeking By has grown over the years and I now annually host repDISND (formerly GeekDis) which invites members of the disabled and neurodivergent community to guest blog as part of the event, it’s time to set a comment policy in place.

By leaving a comment on any post or page on Just Geeking By, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Comments deemed to be spam or solely promotional in nature will be deleted. Including a link to relevant content is only permitted if it is relevant to the post topic.
2. Please be aware that visitors of all ages view this blog, and therefore comments including profanity will be edited or deleted as necessary.
3. Comments about religion or politics have no place on this blog unless they are specifically in response to a post about either topic.
4. Ableist attitudes, language and any comments offering health advice are not welcome here.
5. Comments that include abusive, bigoted, threatening, pornographic, offensive, or passive-aggressive tone or language will be removed. As will any comments that attack an individual directly or harass other commenters.
6. Comments that exist solely for the purpose of being negative and do not contribute to a discussion i.e. “I hate this”, “This sucks”, “This is rubbish” etc. will be deleted. Visitors are welcome to disagree with a post but are asked to contribute to the discussion rather than attack the author.

As per the copyright information for my blog listed above under Legal Information, my book and comic reviews may not be re-used, copied or reproduced in any way. This includes feedback purposes for writing.

It does not come under free/fair use under copyright law. As the copyright holder, I have the right to say how my content is used, and if my content is used in a way that someone can make money from it, then it breaks copyright law. Using my book/comic reviews as feedback without compensating me is breaking copyright law, and I will enforce this law.
