Seriously Geeky Sundays December Edition

It’s the third week of November and that means it’s time for the Seriously Geeky Sundays December themes! When I started this in April I honestly never expected to be writing these and planning ahead for the first year anniversary of SGS. Words cannot express how grateful I am to the SGS community for joining me on this adventure.

It’s an unusual month this month as we have a one off event, Seriously Geeky Santa (credit to Pix for that name!), and a week off over the holidays. That means you only have two weeks of questions from me. Please note that the themes for the first two weeks have been switched around to give more time for Seriously Geeky Santa participants.

About Seriously Geeky Sundays

Taking place every Sunday there are six questions for bloggers to answer. You can pop over to the Seriously Geeky Sundays page for more information and see the themes for the next four months. You can take part every week or just pop in when a week catches your fancy. Every week I post my own answers and include link-up for you to pop your own link in so others can check them out your post too.

If you’re not able to take part on a Sunday then you’re welcome to post under the alternative title of ‘Seriously Geeky Series’ anytime during the week so you don’t miss out! Check out the new FAQ for more details.

Please Note – The word fandom is used in questions as shorthand for ‘book/TV show/movie/video game/etc.’ Please feel free to replacement ‘fandom’ with whatever term or media that works best for you.

December’s Questions

Here are this month’s questions.

6th December – Around the World in 8 Sundays – Winter Wonderland / Antartica

There’s only one way to celebrate the coldest part of the world and that’s at Christmas. This week we’re combining Around the World in 8 Sundays with a celebration of all things wintery and christmassy in pop culture.

  • What is your favourite winter themed fandom?
  • Which ice/winter character do you like the most?
  • What is your favour Christmas themed moment in a fandom?
  • There have been many incarnations of Santa over the years; which has been your favourite?
  • Which winter themed creature is your favourite?
  • If you could move to any snowy fictional place, which one would it be?

13th December – Seriously Geeky Santa

This was an event that required participants to sign up in November. If you are not taking part please consider this a free day and catch up on a past prompt you missed 🙂

20th December – Free day/catch up

With the holidays looming this week is a free day. If you want to take part in a prompt consider taking part in a past prompt you missed 🙂 I wish you all a happy and safe holidays <3

27th December – 2020 in Fandoms

It’s the final SGS of the year and let’s be honest, 2020 has been awful. Our fandoms have gotten us through a lot this year and we’re here to celebrate them (and shame them) this week.

  • Which fandom was the highlight of your year?
  • Which one surprised you the most?
  • Did you revist an old fandom?
  • What was the best new release of this year for you?
  • What fandom was the biggest let down?
  • Who were your favourite characters of 2020?
