Thanks to a collaboration with Margaret from The Divine Hag, I’m able to bring you the third and final giveaway for GeekDis! She has generously donated several of her wonderful aromatherapy products for a special prize package for GeekDis, and I am happy to say I can put my personal seal of approval on them because I’ve tried them myself! I reviewed three products from The Divine Hag several years ago and fell in love with them. Each product is hand-crafted using organic ingredients and vegan formulas by someone who knows how overpowering scents can trigger flare-ups for people with chronic health conditions. The result is a selection of aromatherapy products that help rather than hinder!
I’m going to tell you a bit more about some of the products Margaret and I have selected for this prize package and then show you how you can win them!
Blissful Sleep Range
Sleep is something that almost all of us with chronic health conditions struggle with in some way or another. For those of us who can drift off easily we get woken up due to pain, discomfort or other symptoms, and for others sleep remains allusive. The Blissful Sleep range from The Divine Hag is one of the most popular products Margaret makes, and with good reason; it works like a charm! Unlike most sleep sprays, you’ll find this range is not laden with lavender, which can trigger asthma and migraines. Have you ever woken up with a headache after using lavender the night before? I was all the time until Margaret filled me on this fact!
To balance out the Lavender, Margaret has mixed it with Rosemary, Geranium, Ylang Ylang and some other wonderful ingredients that result in the perfect formula to help ease you gently to sleep.
I have not one, but TWO products from the Blissful Sleep range to give away! The first is the original Blissful Sleep Aromatherapy Mist Spray, which I can personally attest to being as good as everyone says it is. There’s a reason why this is a bestselling product! As I suffer from anxiety I find that everything builds up right before I try to sleep (I get quite bad Revenge Bedtime Procrastination) and I found that this spray helps to ease my mind into a gentle sleep.
The great thing about a spray is you can use as much or as little as you need. You can also spray it directly onto your night clothes, bed or pillow, or as I prefer, spray it onto a tissue and place it under the pillow. Margaret also suggests spritzing some of it into a bath right before bed.
The second Blissful Sleep product I’m giving away is this handy Sleep Balm which is made with the same amazing formula as the sleep spray mixed with “a sumptuous blend of organic butters and soy wax”. You can use this balm on your pulse points or as a muscle/massage balm. To aid in relaxation before bed, Margaret suggestions rubbing it into the soles of your feet before bed!
Study and Concentration Spray
The final item in the prize package I’m giving away from The Divine Hag is the Study and Concentration Spray. I chose this one because as someone with ME/CFS I struggle to concentrate all the time due to chronic fatigue. This spray is not just for students, it’s designed to help alleviate anxiety and help aid concentration, so it works for any type of situation where you need to clear your head and focus. In my experience, that is something that people with chronic health conditions, mental health conditions and many other types of disabilities struggle with fairly often, so I wanted to include a product to help with that.
While I’ve not personally tested this particular product, I have no doubt that it lives up to the same quality as the others I have tried from The Divine Hag as Margaret is extremely skilled at her craft and as someone with chronic health conditions herself she’s creating products from a place of experience as well. For this one she’s used Rosemary and Peppermint for stimulation, to enhance short term memory and reduce anxiety, and added lemon tones for balance and calm. She points out that this spray has many uses, including helping people through events that may cause your anxiety to spike, like job interviews or first dates. This handle spray can help you keep your anxiety at bay and stay focused, so you can get through whatever comes your way.
Visit the Divine Hag Website
If you liked the sound of these products, then I highly recommend visiting The Divine Hag website to see what other goodies are available. These three are just a tiny glimpse of all the goodies available and as you can see from the photo above there is a variety of products ranging from candles (and candle making kits!), wax melts, aromatherapy sprays, balms and gift sets – the Clearing Mist Spray is my personal favourite! Margaret also runs some fantastic workshops in Glasgow for people to learn how to make their own aromatherapy blends.
