Introducing Transmog Tuesday!

TransmogTuesday is not a new thing, not in the terms of the internet anyway. It’s been around in the WoW community for several years, and it’s something I wanted to start this year especially as I’m always making new priest transmogs for my main. Then life happened, I stopped playing WoW, and now we’re here. I figured May was a good time to start it, especially since I just started playing again and the new Transmog Trial of Style feature is coming in patch 7.2.5.

I love transmog for many reasons; expression, a love of art, pretty things and generally having a creative mind. I was a roleplayer before I moved onto writing, so thinking of a character in a costume, with themes and colours is something that comes naturally to me. Honestly, if fashion was created more in my styles then I’d be more into that. Until fashion catches up I’ll just have to stick with video game fashion!

So, how’s this going to work?

Every Tuesday I’ll be posting with a new creation. My main is a discipline priest called Kaelea, so I do tend to edge towards cloth transmogs more than anything else. The aim of this project is to push my own boundaries, to get creative and work on some themes and ideas I’d normally not consider. That means I’m open to suggestions! Themes, colours, a transmog set around a particular item? Let me know 🙂

You can see my pre-existing work over at Wowhead where I’ll also be uploaded any and all sets.

This Week’s Set

The Light Will Not Falter

Naturally my first transmog had to be a priest transmog, and I decided to choose my current favourite for my priest, The Light will not falter, which is based around Robe of Eternal Light and Halo of Transcendence

Shoulder

Back

Chest

Hands

Waist

Ranged

Held In Off-hand

Alternate Weapon

I love the aesthetics of the artifact weapons and rarely transmog mine, and for this I love this appearance of Light’s Wrath. I currently use the hidden artifact skin in red and that works well too. There’s so much blue and cream in the actual outfit that a slightly different coloured weapon looks ok with it.

Over to you

What do you think? This is quite a traditional priest look to start with, and I’ll be branching out and getting more creative each week.

Any ideas or requests for tomorrow? Let me know in the comments!
