Hello everyone and happy National Lash Day! It is one of many random national days out there, and I thought it was a good time to talk about my three favourite mascaras. Mascaras can make or break a look, and we’ve come a long way from just grabbing any old one and slapping it on. The problem is, there’s so many out there with fancy names and terms now; what one does what?! So today I’m sharing my three favourite mascaras and telling you exactly what happens when I pop them on.
Lancôme Hypnôse Mascara

The Lancôme Hypnôse Mascara does exactly what it claims to and as soon as I put it on I noticed longer fuller lashes even before I finished applying it to the rest of my eye. It has such a smooth application that it easily covers your lashes in one go. I don’t bother adding a second coat with this one, but you can do it you want to build up the effect! This is my go to for making my lashes look longer.

MAC Magic Extension Mascara

The MAC Magic Extension Mascara is exclusive only to Boots in the UK, and was highly anticipated when it launched last year. I managed to get my hands on a sample and I can see why it was so sought after. It’s magic in a tube. While other mascaras do one thing or another (volume, length or curl), this one does a bit of everything and the amount of definition it gives to your lashes is incredible. My lashes look so much clearer with this mascara on compared to any other, as if an artist has taken a fineliner pen and individually outlined each one. The result is impact without looking like you’ve put that much mascara on.

NARS Cosmetics Climax Mascara

I fell in love with NARS Cosmetics Climax Mascara from the moment I first used it, and it’s my go to for intense volume for my lashes. The shape of the wand makes it so easy to cover every inch of my lashes, especially the inner corner which I always struggle with and boom, instant volume. I don’t use fake lashes because I have mobility problems with my hands, and my high eye prescription means I can’t see well at all without them on. That combination means that fake lashes (event the magnetic ones, before someone suggests) are a dangerous accident waiting to happen. This mascara helps me achieve (at least some of) the effect I miss out on by not being able to use them. It’s a definite confidence booster which I recommend adding to your arsenal.
