This week I was given two challenges. The first from my friend and guildie, Tccb, who challenged me to make a set around Kobold Candle. My fiancé then challenged me to make a kobold cosplay transmog using the same item. I had an idea for the first one, so I decided to make a kobold transmog with both ideas.

 

 

Kobold Cosplay

The idea behind the Kobold Cosplay Transmog, was what if a character wanted to cosplay as a kobold. Initially I aimed to get items that looked furry to express the kobold’s hairy chin/beard and tuffs of hair. This proved very difficult, so I ended up going with just the general outfit. I found plate items to match the style and colours of the image above, and had to make do with white shoulders instead of fur for the shoulders. The belt is slightly different as it’s really hard/near impossible to find a plate belt with cloth hanging from it (clothies will find this much easier if they want to try it). So I went with Blade-Chipped Waistguard which looked wacky enough that I could see a kobold using it.

This is totally safe, right?

This was my first idea when I saw the Kobold Candle; a chaotic mage (or warlock!) who has absolutely no concept of safety and may be just a tad off their rocker 😛 I went with a crazy headpiece with a fitting name Gnomish Turban of Psychic Might, as well as interesting/weird sounding items (like Polymorphic Cloak of Absorption and Galaxyfire Girdle) that had a slightly off the wall appearance. The final piece is, of course, Torch of Austen, a lit torch  alongside a stick of dynamite – because  This is totally safe, right?

Every Tuesday is Transmog Tuesday, and I’ll be posting with a new creation. My main is a discipline priest called Kaelea, so I do tend to edge towards cloth transmogs more than anything else. The aim of this project is to push my own boundaries, to get creative and work on some themes and ideas I’d normally not consider. That means I’m open to suggestions!
