We’ve cycled back around to cloth for the class sets and I randomly chose to create a Mage transmog for this week’s set; Frostfire Storms. I started with the tier 20 shoulders Mantle of the Arcane Tempest from Tomb of Sargeras, aka the updated Tier 6 design. The shoulders keep the same purple hue as their Tier 6 counterpart along with some new blue elements and an electric storm animation. Continuing with the purple theme I pulled a couple of items from other Mage tiers; Hood of Everburning Knowledge and Valorous Frostfire Robe.

I chose a simple yet bright belt (Belt of Arcane Storms) to correspond with the design on the chest of the robe and inject some colour into the lower half of the transmog. I kept both the hands and boots very plain to avoid clashing with the rest of the set. I couldn’t find any cloak in the right colours to fit with the set, but I do think that a cloak would finish this set off nicely. For the main hand I chose Greatsword of Horrid Dreams, a long translucent sword of burgundy and purple that goes matches the robe. In the offhand is a spell book (Vicious Gladiator’s Endgame) which is primarily purple with a few blue accents to go with those on the shoulders.

About #TransmogTuesday

Every Tuesday is #TransmogTuesday, and I’ll be posting with a new creation. My main is a discipline priest called Kaelea, so I do tend to edge towards cloth transmogs more than anything else. The aim of this project is to push my own boundaries, to get creative and work on some themes and ideas I’d normally not consider. That means I’m open to suggestions!
