Book Review: Grumpy Old Gods Volume 1

I was sent a copy of the Grumpy Old Gods: Volume 1 anthology of short stories by one of the authors and I was really excited to read it. I’ve always loved mythology, reading about the different pantheons and the mischief  the gods and heroes get up to. My interest in mythology has crossed over into my reading habits and I love to read other writers interpretations of myths and the pantheons. Some of my favourite books are Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians series and Kevin Hearne’s Iron Druid series. Disability Interview with Kathleen

Kathleen has been a friend of mine for a long time and I’m grateful for her volunteering to be the first person to be interviewed as part of the Disability Interview series here at Just Geeking By. Opening up about ones chronic illnesses can be a scary thing, and the aim of this interview series isn’t to face one’s fears but to help others who are facing the same ordeals. Please continue reading to learn more about Kathleen’s life and her conditions; myofascial pain syndrome,Read More →

I’m learning that what I need to do now is not toRead More →

2019 End of Year Book Survey!

I’ve done this once before but I’ve been struggling with my reading over the last few years and I’ve not been able to do it again. I finally was able to get back on track again this year as you’ll see 🙂 The End of Year Book Survey is in its 10th Year and is hosted by the lovely Jamie at The Perpetual Page Turner. We’re going to forget that it’s the really the beginning of the year (and over a week a month into it) and pretend it’s really still the end of 2019. I’ve been caught up in helping someone move house forRead More →
