So shoot me, I went there with the pun. I couldn’t help myself! It is National Stationery week 2019 and it’s also Star Wars Day (May 4th!). As a stationery
addict lover I’m combining two of my great obsessions to bring to you 10 of the best Star Wars Stationery items I found on the web so you can add a little bit of a Galaxy Far Far Away to your collection.
Star Wars Stationery
Starting us off are some official merchandise with these two A5 notebooks. I really love the fur details in the Chewie notebook (from Zavvi for £11.99), and as for the space battle Moleskine journal (Book Depository for £15.31) it is fantastic to see one portraying X-Wings at last!! If you’re an X-Wing fan like me there also appears to be a Moleskine X-Wing 2020 Weekly Planner available in 19 days. It’s currently available for pre-order from the Book Depository for £15.74.
I found out about this set of 100 postcards of Women of the Galaxy recently and it immediately went to the top of my wish list as I love the cover art, and it features characters from the “films, books, comics, animation, and games”. I read somewhere that Mara Jade, my favourite character and one of the Expanded Universe (now Legends) characters is included which means that they’ve also delved into Legends as well which makes me super excited for this. You can grab it from The Book Depository for £16.43!
I love the simplicity of this Lightsaber Notebook by halfabubble on Redbubble (£9.00). The colourful rainbow of lightsabers stands out against the dark background sending a message of unity and geekiness.
Both of these notebooks are here because I was blown away by how absolutely gorgeous they were. Representing the start and the end of the Original Trilogy the artists have captured the power of these scenes through clever colouring techniques. You can pick up the Tatooine Moon notebook by Sofia A Towne for £9.33 and the Ewok Village hardcover journal by Daletheskater for £14.00 both from Redbubble.
Any Rebels fans out there? These two are for you! There are a lot of brilliant pieces of Ahsoka Tano art works on Redbubble, however, this one stood out amongst the rest for a few reasons. I felt it really captured her independent spirit in her stance and gaze, and the choice of colours and watercolour effect really works for me. Overall it’s a really stunning piece and looks fantastic on a notebook. It’s by lornaka and is available for £10.00.
The other one is a great piece that captures the relationship of Kanan and Hera, and I particularly love Hera’s sassy side-ways glance at Kanan. It’s spot on. I’m only in season one so no spoilers but I already love these two. You can pick up this Together: Kanera notebook by JoannaN for £.9.33.
This little Star Wars stationery set isn’t amazing in comparison to some of the other items on this list, but it makes up for it with the small details. Take a look at those Stormtrooper paperclips and the May the force be with you butterfly clips! It may be a basic set, however, it’s got some really cool stuff in it! It’s available at Zavvi for £9.99.
I don’t get to write letters by hand any more due to my hypermobility, which makes me really sad when I come across adorable writing sets like this Rey letter writing gift set. How adorable is this set?! I can see this being an absolutely perfect gift for a young girl who needs to practise their handwriting. Or for a Star Wars geek who is going away to university or travelling. Who better than to help keep them company than Rey? The set was created by LetterieShop and is available on etsy for £8.55.
As a bullet journaler I am absolutely a sticker hoarder so naturally I had to check out what Star Wars stickers were around. I came across these two very different styles that I thought you were fabulous. The first is this pack of 24 cartoon Star Wars stickers by SuperFashionStore (£3.92 on etsy) which features such a great variety of characters. I often find that sticker sets feature a certain set of characters and forget that the rest exist. As you can see from the selection in the picture that is not the case with these, and there’s characters of all shapes and sizes.
The second set is much more decorative and stylised, with a bohemian feel to it which may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Personally I adore them! They are the Light and Darkside of the force sticker sets by FloBallestraArt, available for £13.33 on etsy.
Over to You
I hope you are having a lovely Star Wars day! May the force be with you all! I have a mostly written reaction to the new trailer written so look forward to seeing that some time soon 😉
